Homosexuality

Our founding fathers would be turning over in their graves if they knew that we, their descendents, had overturned most of the sodomy laws that they put in place to protect society from those who want to commit sodomy. They understood how bad sodomy is for an individual - and that the human body was not designed for this act. They also understood that anything that is bad for the individual is bad for society.

Doesn't nature and common sense give us the proper warning concerning sodomy? Don't we, and all other cultures, automatically know that sodomy is wrong? But today we're not paying attention to what we know to be true are we? And we're paying the penalty, aren't we? I thought that we were supposed to be smarter than those who came before us. At least that's what everybody keeps saying.

Let's not treat the homosexuals like they are stupid. They are not stupid. In fact it is quite evident that many of them are very gifted people. But that doesn't change the fact that their sexual behavior is wrong and destructive. They understand that better than we do. They know that they are harming themselves and society in general when they commit the act of sodomy. But many feel powerless to change. Burning lust, caused by an internal problem, keeps them trapped - unable to break loose. (I am one of the few conservatives who believe that in many cases this may be genetic.)

Homosexuals have a conscience just like you and me. And they know that they are violating that conscience. They understand that they are playing with fire when they live this lifestyle. They also know that one chance encounter could cost them their lives considering the AIDS epidemic - or at least afflict them with another life altering sexually transmitted disease. We are not helping them or society in general by turning the other way while they live like that. Accepting sodomy as an "alternative lifestyle" is not helping the homosexuals at all. In fact it's harming them.

Pretending that we accept sodomy as normal and as something that society should allow sends a message to the homosexual that he can go ahead and pursue this deadly lifestyle, instead of alerting him to the consequences of it. Wouldn't it be better for the homosexual and for society if we let it be known that sodomy will not be allowed because of what it does to a person? By saying that we accept it we are giving him a license to go out and kill himself. Or worse yet, we are telling him that promoting this behavior to others in society (including minors) is okay.

In the America of today there are lots of Americans running wild and "free" with little or no concern for the responsibility that comes with freedom. And I'm not just talking about homosexuals. Heterosexual people who are running wild are just as responsible for our deteriorating society, if not more so because of the numbers involved. People tend to forget that the actions of each individual in society are equally important. There are no "unimportant" people in society. There are no members of society who can live however they want without proper concern for the rest of society. It just doesn't work that way in the real world.

The choices that you and I make affect others whether we like it or not. The actions of each individual has short and long term consequences. No one is exempt from being responsible for his actions, and there is no way around the incurred consequences. There are no exceptions. Our founding fathers understood this. But we've been trying to figure a way around this haven't we? And all the while we are watching our society disintegrate before our very eyes.

Anti-sodomy laws were put in place by our predecessors for a reason. Sodomy was considered a crime against nature, against God, and against society. It is important to remember that all male homosexuality is sodomy. Men do not have sex with other men, as that is impossible. Men sodomize each other, and it has always been considered a disgusting, disease spreading act. Let's be honest, the human body was not designed to tolerate sodomy. Nor is it proper or appropriate for men to act effeminate.

It is a well known fact that homosexuals live a shorter life on average because of the disease and sickness inherent in sodomy. Sodomy is destructive. Affected equally are body, soul and spirit. There is no way around this act affecting the whole person - and others. We would like to think that it's not that big of a deal but it is. Thinking that one can get away with living like this is wishful thinking indeed.

These days it's a game of Russian roulette if we keep in mind the high percentage chance of contracting AIDS/HIV from another homosexual. Nothing good comes from sodomy except immediate gratification of one's burning lust. Homosexuals know this - they know that they are hurting themselves by living like this. It's a damaging lifestyle. It's bad for the homosexual and it's bad for society. There is nothing "gay" about it.

Our forefathers were correct concerning their stand on sodomy. Their laws to stop sodomy helped produce a good society. They fully understood that "freedom" does not mean that society becomes a sexual free for all. Our failure to follow their lead has caused one more problem for society to deal with. Since most of the sodomy laws have been overturned, we as a society, have paid a high cost in lives and in healthcare tax money.

The homosexual movement has been like a spreading cancer in society since it took hold in the 1980's. It has done nothing good. It only wants to promote the message that everyone should be allowed to live and act as they want without regards for how it affects the other 99% of society. If you think that I'm kidding, please Google "NAMBLA", which is the North American Man Boy Love Association. Their goal is to remove all age barriers to sex in society. That way these homosexuals can legally get to little boys.

Obviously I think that homosexuality is bad for the individual, is a blight on any society, and is something that we shouldn't even need to address. Legalizing it has given license to these people to kill each other with diseases and cause more problems for society to deal with. I do believe that we need to chalk one more up for our forefathers. They were rarely wrong in their assessments of building a strong country. And where they were wrong, they corrected it as they needed to. Changing the sodomy laws has been bad for America. This is my opinion.

So what are we going to do about it? Maybe you disagree with me. Maybe you think that our forefathers were wrong and the "progressive" thinking of today is right. I say let's talk about it on national television via the "Meet and Vote" program. Let's get it all out in the open. My administration is all about returning the power of the government to the people. I have said that the will of the people should be preeminent. I have also said that I will not mandate my morality for the whole of American society. Therefore I will give the American Taxpayers the opportunity to decide this issue.

Using the "Meet and Vote" process the taxpayers will get a chance to reinstate the anti-sodomy laws if they want to. It's your society, so you should set the course of the nation - not me and not the Congress and not the ACLU and not the Hollywood sitcom producers and not the homosexual movement. The majority of American Taxpayers should decide. If you don't want any change to current laws, then we will leave them as they are. But if the majority wants change, then change you will get!

Please allow me to add one other note here. The acceptance of sodomy as an "alternative lifestyle" these days is not to be singled out as the determining factor concerning the deterioration of American society. We all know it's wrong and we all know it's a disgusting act, but what about other issues that contribute to the nation's problems? What about heterosexual promiscuity and the multitudes of illegitimate children that come from it? What about divorce and the children who are being raised by only one parent or by other relatives? What about all of the other stuff that's going on now days that we know damages our society?

We are going to have to make some hard decisions as a result of some of the issues addressed via the "Meet and Vote" program. We are going to have to change a lot of what's going on in our society if we want to see our nation healed from within. If we want a better, safer nation we are going to have to change. We can't have it both ways. Let's not point the finger at the homosexuals and say that they alone are responsible for our nation's woes. That's not fair. We're all in this together and we will all decide the future course of our nation together.

[To understand how the "Meet and Vote" program works to bring about the will of the people, please go to Index 1 and click on the "Meet and Vote" program button. The "Meet and Vote" program is why the American Taxpayer party is set apart from the other political parties. Without it the American Taxpayer party movement is just another political party and I am just another third party presidential candidate.]
