Index 2 - Issues
A word from "President Tony"
I've made some mistakes in the past when voting for presidential candidates because of a lack of information concerning what that candidate actually believed. I've heard the traditional promises and I've seen the various debates between the candidates but they always seem to avoid putting their views in writing.
Wouldn't it be a lot easier on the voters if the candidates were to put their views on the issues in writing so that we could all examine them closely and be able to use these writings to make them keep their word? I think it would, so I've done just that. Not only will it help you know where I stand on these issues as a president but it is good for you to see it in writing - sort of a contract if you will.
Having said that, I should remind you, the American Taxpayer, that it doesn't really matter what I believe on these issues since my "Meet and Vote" program will force me to take a neutral stand on them. The "Meet and Vote" program (see Index 1 - "Meet and Vote" program) is designed around the idea that the people will get the opportunity to vote on these issues, the majority will rule, and the legislators will enact it into law.
In this scenario I and your elected representatives will be counted as one vote each, just like every other American Taxpayer and our ability to thwart the will of the people is negated. [It is designed like this to eliminate the influence of lobbyists, the bad effect of Congressmen with false motives, the political polarization among our leaders, the ever increasing corruption in Washington, and to put a halt to judges who think that they can use their position to change established law.]
In effect, my responsibility in this process will be to make sure that all views on the issue at hand are fairly and honestly presented to the American Taxpayers (during the nationally televised meetings) so that they can be properly informed when they go to vote. This will be the key to getting these things right and putting our nation back on the right course.
Since I will not be the one to decide who will represent the various views on the issues to the American Taxpayers viewing the nationally televised meetings (your Democrat and Republican representatives will choose who is best to represent their side of each issue), there is no way that my personal views will be imposed on the American Taxpayers. This is by design. My personal views will not get in the way of the will of the people.
The issues to be addressed on this website are listed below. They will give you a good idea of how I think on social and political topics. By the way, it would be a good idea to read about the "Meet and Vote" program before you read this section so that you can better understand how the issues will be settled during my presidency.
