Public Education

I don't know of anyone who thinks that the public education system is working like it should. It has sure changed in the last 40 years. Along with education the children get a dose of indoctrination concerning things their parents might not want them to even think about. But few have the time or energy to confront the school district or the teacher unions. The public school system is also a shamelessly inefficient money pit with it's champions constantly wanting more tax money thrown at it.

Who would have ever thought that we'd see the day when armed guards policing the schools would have to keep American children from killing each other? Isn't this simply a reflection of what the public school system has become? What would our founding fathers say about this? The whole system needs to be looked at in depth, reevaluated and changed in accordance with what the parents want - not the social engineers who have infiltrated the school system.

I could spend a lot of time here giving my views about public schools, the Department of Education, UNESCO and the attempt to globalize America's youth but I'm sure that you understand that I think the whole system is problematic. I have a real problem with public schools being used as experimental laboratories for social engineering. I also think that our founding fathers would be ashamed of what's going on in our school system. If I become president you can bet that this issue will get all of the attention it needs. I say let's bring everything out in the open.

We don't need "experts" to tell us what's wrong with our pubic schools. Common sense will work. Parents know, especially mothers. Since parents have the most at stake here I think that they should have the biggest say in the upcoming changes. Therefore we will employ the "Meet and Vote" program to deal with this topic. And you can be sure that these meetings will get lively. When it comes to kids, mothers can get passionate. They will be allowed to air their grievances once they are "educated" about what is being taught to their children.

If you have not read up on the unique "Meet and Vote" program being offered only by the American Taxpayer party, it is designed to force the will of the people on our leaders. In this case it will work to force the will of the parents on the Department of Education and the teacher unions. The program is simple yet will be the method used to turn this nation around in more ways than one. It only has two parts - the "Meet" part and the "Vote" part.

The principle behind the "Meet and Vote" program is that if the American Taxpayers are properly informed on an issue (accomplished through nationally televised meetings) they are fully capable of deciding the issue (accomplished through going to the polls and voting on it). The idea being that the majority of the people will get the majority of the issues right the majority of the time. This will turn our nation back to allowing the people to be the highest authority in the land, which is what our founding fathers wanted in the first place.

When the meeting and voting is finished the votes will be tallied and the majority will rule. The will of the people will then be given to their elected representatives who will immediately enact the will of the people into law. This will all be done out in the open so that the American Taxpayers are fully aware of what to expect. Double crossing by leaders with wrong motives will not be tolerated. Leaders who do not like the outcome of the vote will not be allowed to circumvent the will of the people.

This process will also allow the will of the people to bypass those forces in the decision making process who fight against what the people want. This includes Congressmen and women who have false motives and/or a hidden agenda. This also includes the bad influence of the hordes of lobbyists in our nation's capital who are there to work for their clients - not the people. It also includes Supreme Court justices and those judges in the inferior courts who think they can get away with legislating from the Judiciary. This process will also keep the hidden agenda of a president "gone wild" at bay. We've seen enough of that.

The "Meet and Vote" program is every taxpayer's dream and every Washington Insider's nightmare. It is fully compatible with the U.S. Constitution. We will employ this program to address the problems in the schools. Parents should know what their children are being taught and should decide what happens in the schools.
