State of the Union
In the words of "President Tony"
Don't "State of the Union" addresses seem somewhat disingenuous? I guess that they are meant to rally the American Taxpayers around the flag. Personally, I'd rather hear the flat out truth, face up to it, and deal with it. False hope may make the masses feel good for a time but I think it would be better in the long run to just deal with the truth.
And what is the real truth about the "State of the Union"? Everything is just great, right? Maybe not. Let's not kid ourselves - we've got big problems as a nation now days. For those of us who have been around a while, this is a different country than what it was before 1960. And I don't mean better.
Sure we all have more money and more "things" but in reality this is a big mess that we have on our hands. I'm not telling you anything new. Everyone I talk to, without exception, shares the same concerns, and wonders what in the world our leaders are doing. It's almost as if they are trying to destroy our nation on purpose. This is how twisted things have become in Washington.
I liken the condition of our country to an ailing human body. The person with the sickly body has known for some time that something is wrong with his body but he chooses to ignore the warning signs. Eventually, if the problem is not dealt with it slowly gets worse. All the time he doesn't want to face the fact that his condition is deteriorating - even though he knows down deep that there is something wrong.
As time passes he gets worse and worse. The time eventually comes when he has to face up to his real condition because it eventually becomes a matter of life or death. Now, if it's not too late, it will require much more time and effort to heal because he allowed the problem to go too long without facing the reality of the situation. His life hangs in the balance and he is now forced to make some decisions based on reality.
Isn't this the present condition of our nation? We are hanging in the balance. Our forefathers worked hard to make this a great nation but we all know that it's time to deal with the issues that got us in the condition that we are in. It would not be wise to put them off any longer.
Who would have thought that we would ever see the day when we would be forced to have security guards in our children's schools? It's almost unthinkable. What would our founding fathers think of us? Who would have ever imagined that in the United States of America, the family - the very foundation of any society - would be in such shambles and that American children would have to be raised in "daycare centers" because their mothers were forced into the work place?
Have we really gone that far off the common sense path in this nation that we can't even figure out that no one can raise a child like his own mother? Do you truly think that this doesn't matter to society? What happened to respect for women and the elderly? What happened to respect for anybody? And if we really do have all of this money that we claim we have, why are there record numbers of bankruptcy cases? Is it possible that we really have a lot of credit rather than a lot of money? And who decided that we would sacrifice American jobs so that other nations could have the prosperity that our forefathers worked so hard to give us?
Have we been sold a bill of goods with all of this globalism nonsense that has worked out in the real world to be nothing more than an attempt to make all nations financially equal - something we used to call one world socialism? I could go on and on here with the corruption in government, our soft hearted attitude towards criminals, the problems within black urban culture, the national debt, the trade deficit and even sexually perverted religious leaders who use their office as a means to molest children. Can you imagine?
And let's not kid ourselves about the churches - which used to be the very cornerstone of American society up into the 1960's. There have sure been some strange shifts in American Christianity since then and if you look at the changes as a whole it is easy to conclude that the churches are in as big trouble as society as a whole. Yes, I could go on and on about our nation's problems but you get my point. We all know that we need to address many problems in our society because the future is not bright for the next generation. We can't just keep putting it off.
Please allow me to give you my "State of the Union" address. We need real change - quick! That sums it up. The American Taxpayer party movement has been established to bring about the changes that we need.
As the presidential candidate I don't claim to have all of the answers for all of the problems. It is my personal belief, however, that if we address our nation's problems together (via the "Meet and Vote" program) and allow the American Taxpayers the opportunity to decide what is to be done about the problems, the majority of voters will get it right. The result will be the turn around of our nation.
The 2008 election is not the time to rally around our favorite party whether it be Democrat or Republican since this always divides us. And let's be honest, our nation has continued on the same course (with minor fluctuations depending on the president) for the last 40 years no matter who has been in the White House. So don't look for a "savior" from either party because he's not there.
It's time for the American Taxpayers to make the decisions on all of the issues that face them and then let Washington enact the will of the people. There is no other way around what Washington has become. If we really want change we have no other choice than to bypass the beltway system. The American Taxpayer party plan for accomplishing this is called the "Meet and Vote" program. It is why you should vote the American Taxpayer party this time around. A detailed explanation of the "Meet and Vote" program can be found in Index 1. We're going to have to work together this time around folks.
