Tolerance
Tolerance is part of the "dumb and dumber" duo. The other part is "political correctness". I'm just not sure which is dumb and which is dumber. There are a lot of goofy things that have been going on in our country over the last 40 years, not the least of which is the "tolerance" movement. You just wonder who thinks up some of this stuff. Whoever it is, they are surely living in a fantasy world where there is no right and wrong and somehow we are just all going to get along.
Tolerance sounds like a great idea doesn't it? It sounds so nice and reasonable - almost loving. After all, it sure seems respectful and well, tolerant. The thought that first comes to mind is that if we just "tolerate" everything and everybody all will be in harmony and the world will be at peace. That's basically the agenda of UNESCO, the big name behind the "peace and tolerance" movement. This fantasy breaks down when faced with tolerating bad people, bad behavior and/or bad ideologies.
Though designed to brainwash the children of the world into believing that we just need to accept each other, when one looks below the surface of this movement it becomes apparent it is based in fantasy and a lack of sound judgment. It has to come from a one world socialist mindset. A socialist is the only one that I can think of who is so desirous of world peace that he is willing to attempt to put reality aside to accomplish his agenda.
The first hint that one gets that there is something drastically wrong with the tolerance movement is the fact that those who push the idea of tolerance aren't willing to tolerate those who question the tolerance movement. In fact, the "tolerant" ones can get down right belligerent towards those who don't want to tolerate their idea of tolerance. Though the idea of tolerating other's views, beliefs and lifestyles seems reasonable, the idea takes a twist when toleration of the actions of everyone in society - and even in the world is expected.
This strange movement has taken hold in the American culture with both feet and both hands. The fact that bad actions have bad consequences cannot be tolerated in the tolerance movement. The idea that bad belief systems should be discarded in favor of truth cannot be tolerated by the tolerance movement. The fact that bad people do bad things and cause a good society to become bad can't be tolerated by those in the tolerance movement. The notion that bad people who refuse to "tolerate" good should receive a penalty for the destructive part that they play in hurting society does not enter the mind of the tolerant disciple. In his mind we're all right and no one has the authority to judge anyone else.
I've got a better idea. Let's face reality like our founding fathers did. This is a big bad world with a lot of bad things. There is no yellow brick road and the Wizard of Oz doesn't exist here. There are bad people, there are bad actions, there are bad religions. There are bad dictators with bad ideologies, there are bad cultures, there are bad movements. The tolerance movement is one of them. Our founding fathers would not be tolerated by those within the tolerance movement - especially the one world socialists in the United Nations who have been doing their best to destroy everything that America is and stands for.
Those propagating the tolerance movement want to make right and wrong magically disappear. They want to do the same with the consequences that a person (or a nation) receives for their wrong beliefs and wrong thoughts and wrong actions. But it's not going to happen because this is the real world - not the fantasy world of the one world socialists. This is one of the most dangerous movements to be propagated on the American public - and especially our naive, impressionable children. Our children must not be conditioned to "tolerate" that which is bad for them just so that we can all get along.
Reality and our founding fathers tell us to beware of what you tolerate. Beware of what you think about. Beware of your actions. Beware of the motives of foreigners. Beware of their leader's motives. Beware of their religion and/or their ideology. Don't be taken in by their words but watch their actions. There is right and there is wrong. There are some deceitful, evil people out there in the real world. Don't tolerate them. Don't be like them. There are also some bad consequences just waiting for you out there. So watch yourself. Don't tolerate what your conscience is telling you is wrong.
Reality says, "Your tolerance of bad might get you in big trouble." Therefore use your brain. Don't blindly tolerate what you know to be bad just because you've been told to. There are reasons why some people have a lot of problems and a hard life. There are reasons that some nations have a lot of problems and eventually lose their status in the world. There are reasons that we should not allow our country to make the same mistakes as those nations make. In a nut shell, don't tolerate the bad in this world. Tolerate the good. The two are opposites, so take your choice - considering the consequences that await. That's the message that we should be sending to our children. Now I guess you know what I think of the tolerance movement.
